JAUME MASIA AND LEOPARD RACING MOTO3 WORLD CHAMPIONS 2023

Spanish rider Jaume Masiá is the new Moto3 World Champion for 2023, thanks to the victory achieved at the Qatar Grand Prix. In this way, Leopard Racing and Galfer secure their third world title together in the Moto3 category since 2017.

Thanks to the team strategy of Leopard Racing in the Qatar race, Jaume Masiá has clinched the Moto3 world title in 2023. With 4 victories and 6 podiums during the 2023 season, Jaume Masiá accumulates a total of 271 points, 28 more than the second-placed, mathematically securing the victory in the Moto3 World Championship, with one race yet to be contested.

Once again, the Moto3 race has been marked by the battle between the riders, with constant overtakes and changes in positions in the leading group. Masiá, who has been in it throughout, fought with Sasaki, his main rival for the title. Other Galfer riders in the leading group included Diogo Moreira, who suffered a fall, David Muñoz, and Adrián Fernández, Masiá’s teammate. A few laps before the end, Masiá positioned himself in the lead and accelerated towards the finish line, winning the race convincingly.

On the other hand, it is also worth noting the commendable 5th position achieved by Vicente Pérez (Boé Motorsport) and the 7th by Matteo Bertelle (Snipers Team), both Galfer riders.

All Galfer riders use Floatech® (front) and CUBIQ® (rear) brake discs, as well as sintered Racing G1310 brake pads.

Masiá’s world title marks the 10th for Galfer riders in 2023 and the 99th in the entire history of the brake brand in the motorcycle segment.
