SPECTACULAR VICTORY FOR SERGIO GARCÍA WITH GALFER FLOATECH® DISCS IN AUSTIN

First victory for Galfer rider of the MT Helmets – MSI team in the Moto2 category, which places him as provisional leader of the championship.

Absolute dominance by Spanish rider Sergio García in the Moto2 race of the MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas. With dry conditions and moderate temperature, Sergio García managed to outperform all his rivals with masterful and consistent driving in a very fast race. Sergio, who started from the third position on the grid, took the lead of the race in the early laps, a position he maintained until the end. This is Sergio García’s first victory in the Moto2 World Championship, placing him as the leader of the category with 51 points, two ahead of his closest pursuer. On the other hand, his teammate, Japanese rider Ai Ogura, also had a remarkable performance with a commendable 7th place finish in the race. Ogura, who started from the 17th position on the grid, managed to climb up to the Top10 in the first lap and, fighting against tough rivals, maintained a notable position. With this result, Ai Ogura is placed as the fifth classified in the Moto2 standings. Both Galfer riders from the MT Helmets – MSI team use Galfer Floatech® brake discs in a prototype version measuring ø305 x 5.5mm, which have undoubtedly demonstrated their great performance and high reliability.

In the Moto3 category, up to five Galfer riders have achieved a Top10 finish, with young Spanish rider Angel Piqueras (Leopard Racing) stepping onto the podium for the first time in his career in third place. Following him, Ryusei Yamanaka (MT Helmets – MSI) 4th, David Muñoz (Boé Motorsport) 5th, Joel Kelso (Boé Motorsport) 7th, and Matteo Bertelle (Snipers Team) 10th have delivered strong performances in the Grand Prix of the Americas. All of them trusting the braking of their Moto3 bikes to Galfer Floatech® discs and Racing G1310 sintered brake pads. On the other hand, Iván Ortolá (MT Helmets – MSI) did not have his best day and had to retire from the race due to a fall.

The next round of the speed world championship will be the Spanish Grand Prix held in Jerez from April 26th to 28th, to which all Galfer riders will arrive highly motivated.
