AMAZING PODIUM FINISHES BY SERGIO GARCÍA AND REMY GARDNER AT THE EUROPEAN GP

The GALFER riders Sergio García and Remy Gardner achieved two podium finishes, in Moto3 and Moto2 respectively, at the European GP held in Valencia (Spain).

This was a great performance by Sergio García (Estrella Galicia 0,0) and by Remy Gardner (SAG Team) in the first of the two consecutive MotoGP races that are being held at the Ricardo Tormo track in Cheste.

In Moto3, the young Spanish rider Sergio García clinched a second-place finish for the first time this season, after a thrilling race in which he was always in the leading group. Sergio managed to overtake two rivals in the final lap, to achieve his best result of the year on his Honda HRC Moto3 motorbike equipped with GALFER Racing JCW1 brake discs.

Carlos Tatay (Reale-Avintia) also achieved his best result by finishing 6th, while Jeremy Alcoba (Gresini Racing) made an impressive comeback to finish 8th.

In the Moto2 category, there was another great result for Remy Gardner (SAG Team), who reached the podium again by finishing 3rd in the European GP. Gardner started fourth on the grid and rode the entire race in one of the leading positions, being very consistent with his times and not making any mistakes on his Kalex Moto2, equipped with GALFER brake discs. This was Remy’s third podium finish of the 2020 season in the Moto2 category and consolidates his 6th place in the overall classification with 101 points.

In MotoGP, the French rider Johann Zarco (Reale-Avintia), who started fourth on the grid, finished in 9th place.

In other news, The Red Bull Rookies Cup hailed a new 2020 champion in Valencia: Pedro Acosta. The young Spanish rider achieved a podium finish in the second round and was mathematically crowned champion with 2 races left.

The next race in the MotoGP World Championship will again be held at the Ricardo Tormo track in Valencia from 13th to 15th November.
