ROBERTO BOU WINS THE TITAN DESERT 2023

The Spanish rider from the Cannondale Vas Arabay team won the Titan Desert 2023 thanks to a spectacular 5th stage where he finished 10 minutes ahead of the rest of the favourites.

After coming very close on several occasions in previous years, Roberto Bou has achieved his first Titan Desert victory, writing his name in gold in the list of winners of the event. After seven days in the Moroccan desert, covering more than 600 kilometres with 7,000 metres of elevation gain and more than 20 hours of competition in scorching heat, Roberto Bou proved himself to be this edition’s strongest rider with his carbon Cannondale Scalpel equipped with “Disc Wave®” brake discs and Performance G1053 pads.

The performance of his teammate Fran Herrero also deserves to be mentioned, as he finished on the third step of the general podium, including one stage victory. In addition, Fran was a loyal sidekick for Roberto, helping him achieve his victory with assistance throughout the race. Meanwhile, Sergio Mantecón (Scott Cala Bandida), who achieved two stage victories, finished the Titan Desert 2023 in a creditable fifth place overall, despite experiencing mechanical problems during one of the stages, that ruined his chances in the general classification.

In the women’s category, Colombia’s Mónica Calderón (Cannondale Vas Arabay) finished the race in sixth place.

Galfer Bike would like to congratulate Roberto Bou and the whole Cannondale Vas Arabay team for this well-deserved achievement.
