VICTORY FOR MAXIME RENAUX AND ANDREA BONACORSI AT THE ITALIAN MXGP

First World Championship wins for GALFER riders Maxime Renaux (SM Action Yamaha) in the MX2 category and Andrea Bonacorsi (Fantic) in the EMX125 category.

The town of Faenza (Italy) hosted a new MXGP World Championship event where two GALFER riders claimed two wins thanks to their excellent performance.

In the MX2 category, Maxime Renaux’s Yamaha YZ 250 F won him the top spot on the podium and second place in the two rounds, finishing up as the absolute overall winner of the Italian race. Renaux uses GALFER’s slotted oversized disc brakes (RWS) and Racing G1396R-compound brake pads. Maxime now holds third position overall in the MX2 World Championship.

In the EMX125 category, there were also wins for Italian rider Andrea Bonacorsi (Fantic), who was first across the line in both races. This means that the young rider now shares the lead in the general classification, tied on points with Liam Everts.

In the main MXGP category, however, luck wasn’t on the side of the GALFER riders, with various incidents preventing a good result on this occasion. Jeremy Van Horebeek (Honda SR) finished in 15th place and Henry Jacobi (SM Action Yamaha) in 18th.

The next two MXGP races will be contested at the same track in Faenza on 9 and 13 September.
