The Spanish rider from the Leopard Racing team achieved his first victory of the season in the Moto3 category, riding his Honda HRC motorbike fitted with GALFER brake products.
The Motorland Aragon circuit hosted the first of two consecutive MotoGP races in temperatures that were much cooler than normal, which forced the organisers to postpone the start times of the races.
In the Moto3 category, Jaume Masià (Leopard Racing) achieved his first victory of the season in a new race with an incredibly evenly-matched group that was only decided on the final bends. Masià beat his rivals thanks to his fast braking on the bends, among his other skills. Two more GALFER riders managed to finish in the top ten: Jeremy Alcoba (Gresini Racing) in 6th and Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58) in 8th.
In the Moto2 category, Remy Gardner (SAG Team) produced a solid performance and a good result, achieving a 5th-place finish. Remy was very consistent throughout the weekend and, despite the cold racing conditions, he always managed to be one of the fastest riders in the category on his Kalex Moto2 motorbike using GALFER Racing JCW1 brake discs.
However, in the MotoGP category, GALFER riders did not have their finest weekend. Pecco Bagnaia had a fall in his race, while Johan Zarco and Tito Rabat, both from the Reale-Avintia team, finished 10th and 20th respectively.
The next MotoGP race will be contested at the same Motorland circuit from 23rd to 25th October.
