Fourth victory of the season for Dennis Foggia in Thailand, with five Galfer riders in the top ten of the Moto3 class.
A superb weekend for the Italian rider with the Leopard Racing team, who took pole position and a victory in the Moto3 Thai GP. In a dry race, Dennis took the lead from the start and held on to his position all the way to the finish line. Foggia’s Honda, which uses Galfer brake products, proved to be one step ahead of his rivals’ bikes and nobody was able to overtake him.
In the second group, Brazil’s Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets – MSI) and Spain’s David Muñoz (Boe Motorsport) competed for the podium positions during the first laps, until the performance of their tyres started to drop and they had to settle for the 6th and 9th positions, respectively. Also of note was the 7th place by Italy’s Andrea Migno (Snipers Team) and the 10th place by Japan’s Ryusei Yamanaka (MT Helmets – MSI), all of them braking with Floatech® JCW1 discs, Racing G1310 sintered brake pads and Galfer metal brake lines.
Dennis Foggia’s victory places the Italian rider second in the overall standings, 49 points behind the leader with three races to go. It is also the 10th victory of his Moto3 career, all of them with Leopard and Galfer.
In the Moto2 class, the race was marked by the heavy rain that began falling on the Buriram track only 8 laps after the start, forcing the race to be cancelled. In these conditions the two Galfer representatives from the Stop and Go team were unable to shine and Taiga Hada finished 13th, while Bo Bendsneyder was 18th.
The next round of the World Championship will be held at the Phillip Island circuit (Australia) from 14 to 16 October.
