VICTORY AND CO-LEADERSHIP FOR JAUME MASIÀ IN THE INDIAN GP

Spanish rider from the Leopard Racing team has completely dominated the first-ever round of the Indian GP in the Moto3 category, achieving the “pole position” and winning the race.

Jaume Masià has secured a clear victory in Moto3, his second of the 2023 season, at the new Buddh Circuit in India, a track demanding on the brakes. Masià, who already clinched the “pole position” on Saturday, led the Moto3 race throughout, demonstrating great riding skills and avoiding mistakes to secure the victory with a lead of over 5 seconds over his closest pursuer. Consequently, Jaume Masià is now tied for the championship lead with 174 points, with 7 races left to go and an upward trend. It’s also worth noting the strong performance of another Galfer representative, David Muñoz (Boé Motorsport), who finished in a commendable 6th position. On the other hand, Xavi Artigas (PruestelGP) earned valuable points with a 12th-place finish, while Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets – MSI) could only manage 13th despite starting from the second row of the grid.

In the Moto2 category, the two Galfer riders from the Stop & Go team didn’t have the best debut at the Indian circuit, and neither of them scored points. Ultimately, Bo Bendsneyder finished 18th, and Taiga Hada came in 23rd.

The next round of the MotoGP World Championship will take place at the iconic Japanese Motegi Circuit from September 29th to October 1st.
