The Italian rider of the MRT Racing Team KTM won his first European motocross title in the 125cc class thanks to his consistency throughout the season.
The 2021 MXGP Motocross World Championship season has concluded with the final round of races in Mantova (Italy), where the new World and European champions were crowned. The young rider, Valerio Lata (MRT Racing Team KTM), managed to hold on to first position thanks to two good races. He finished with 330 points in the EMX125 class, which was enough to secure the European title. Valerio Lata has been very consistent throughout the season, with 3 wins and 7 podiums in the 18 races in which he has competed. His KTM motorbike is equipped with GALFER brake products: “Disc Wave®” discs and Racing G1396R sintered brake pads.
In the EMX250 category, the Norwegian rider Kevin Horgmo (SM Action), riding his Gas Gas also equipped with GALFER, finished runner-up. Kevin took 3 victories and 9 podiums during the season but could not catch the leader of the standings in the final round.
In MX2, GALFER riders finished in the Top 10, with Spanish rider Rubén Fernández 9th (Honda 114 Motorsports) and German rider Simon Längenfelder 10th (DIGA Procross Gas Gas).
In MXGP, Alessandro Lupino (MRT Racing Team KTM) finished 10th in the final classification.
