GALFER rider Toni Bou claimed his fourth consecutive win of the 2020 X-Trial season, securing his lead in the general classification at the halfway point of the competition.
In a packed Palau Sant Jordi, the current world champion, Toni Bou (Montesa-Honda) put on a great performance, achieving a well-fought-for victory in a trial he went into feeling physically under par.
After Adam Raga’s (TRRS) win in the Palau Sant Jordi (Barcelona) X-Trial event in 2019, this year Toni Bou and his Montesa-Honda have once again claimed victory in the traditional Catalan X-Trial event. Both competed directly against each other in an exciting duel, with Toni Bou clinching victory in a final in which he made hardly any mistakes, accruing 7 penalty points fewer than his rival, Adam Raga (TRRS).
Toni Bou thus takes back the crown of Barcelona and says goodbye to this home event as World Championship leader with 80 points, followed by Adam Raga with 60. The Trial bikes of both riders are equipped with GALFER discs and brake pads.
The next, and fifth, X-Trial 2020 event will take place in Bilbao on 15 February.
