The GALFER rider of the Montesa Honda team continues his winning streak, notching up his fifth consecutive victory at the X-Trial World Championship held in Bilbao.
Toni Bou managed to bounce back at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre after his hesitant start where he picked up 8 marks in the first round.
In the semi-final, the Repsol Honda rider accumulated 12 marks which put him at the head of his group, taking him through to the final against Adam Raga (TRRS), another GALFER rider.
Toni Bou led the final from the second section onwards and clinched his fifth victory of the season, finishing with 9 penalty marks ahead of his rival’s 13.
After his Bilbao victory, Toni Bou now leads with 100 points, 25 more than Adam Raga, and he goes into the next round with the odds stacked in his favour for winning the title. For this, he’ll have to wait until 21 March, when the X-Trial World Championship resumes in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
