Current world trial champions Toni Bou and Emma Bristow achieved victory at the Barcelona X-Trial in front of thousands of spectators.
As in recent seasons, the Barcelona Indoor Trial hosted a new round of the X-Trial World Championship in the men’s and women’s categories, where the two Galfer riders stood out among the rest.
In the men’s category, multiple-time world champion Toni Bou (Montesa-Honda) took his fourth consecutive victory, bringing him closer to his 16th world title in the speciality. In an evenly matched final, Bou scored 12 points, while Adam Raga was penalised with 16 points, giving the victory to Toni Bou. With only two rounds to go, Toni Bou leads Adam Raga by 30 points. Third place went to Italian rider Matteo Grattarola (Beta). All of them are competing on trial bikes equipped with “Disc Wave®” brake discs and Trial Pro G1805 red brake pads.
In the women’s category, British rider Emma Bristow (Sherco) confidently achieved a new victory at the Palau Sant Jordi, giving her the 2022 women’s X-Trial world title.
The last two rounds of the men’s X-Trial will take place in October 2022, with the TrialGP World Championship to be held in between.
