Repsol Honda Trial Team’s rider retains his X-Trial crown, extending his record in indoor competition to 17.
Toni Bou has successfully defended his title as the World X-Trial Champion in Madrid. The Repsol Honda team rider, sponsored by Galfer, has mathematically secured another championship, with one more event left on the 2023 calendar next week in Vendée, France. He accomplished this with four victories in the five races held so far this season.
The Spanish rider continues to add to his collection of titles with this latest X-Trial World Champion crown, making it 17 titles in the indoor category since he began competing with the Repsol Honda team in 2007.
With this new milestone, Toni Bou continues to expand his list of accomplishments, now holding a total of 34 titles in both X-Trial and TrialGP, firmly establishing himself as the greatest legend in the history of Trial.
His teammate, Gabriel Marcelli, finished as the second-place rider in the X-Trial event in Madrid and solidifies his third position in the overall standings with a chance at the second spot.
Toni Bou and Gabriel Marcelli equip their Montesa-Honda bikes with Galfer brake products, specifically the “Disc Wave®” fixed W and WLLG, as well as the red Trail Top G1805 brake pads.
With this new championship, Galfer riders have now accumulated a total of 9 World Championships in 2023, with the World Speed Championship still to be determined, where Jaume Masiá currently leads in the Moto3 category.
