SECOND PLACE FOR LORENZO BALDASSARRI IN THE 2022 SUPERSPORT 600 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

We went home with a big smile on our faces, having conquered one podium and three top ten positions following the Australian Grand Prix, thanks to our riders with the Evan Bros Yamaha and Dynavolt Triumph teams. This completes the 24-race Supersport 600 World Championship, with a total of 37 participants.

Following the last race in the WorldSSP category, our riders have had an impressive season filled with memorable moments, many happy ones and others where tensions were high. With a total of four teams and eight amazing riders, we would like to highlight the outstanding season for the Evan Bros Yamaha team and the superstar that is Lorenzo Baldassarri (7), who went head-to-head in a fierce battle against the previous and current WorldSSP champion and MotoE winner. Baldassarri achieved an excellent 2nd position, proclaiming himself runner-up in the WSSP600 World Championship with a total of 388 points, 128 points ahead of his closest rival, Can Öncü. Not forgetting, that he achieved four best laps and a total of 16 podiums, and was the rider with the second most podiums of the season. He also managed to win a total of four Grand Prix victories, one of the few riders to achieve a victory. Finally, it is worth mentioning that he came 3rd in the Tissot SuperPole with a total of 75 points.

Stefano Manzi, with the Dynavolt Triumph team, became the second Galfer rider to finish in the top 10 at the WorldSSP, with a total of 209 points across 24 races. Manzi closes this season with one victory and five podiums overall, and a well-deserved 6th position.

Rider Niki Tuuli, with Team MV Agusta Reparto Corse, secured 8th position and became the third Galfer rider to finish among the top ten in the 2022 WorldSSP season, with a total of 152 points, one pole position, one podium and one victory across 18 races. His teammate, Turkey’s Bahattin Sofuoğlu, earned the title of World Challenge Champion in the Supersport 600 class in his first year racing in the category, finishing 14th overall with 72 points.

We would like to thank all the teams and riders for the trust they placed in us throughout this action-packed season.

We are ready for the next one!
