The Italian rider from the Leopard Racing team won the Dutch GP and now lies third in the overall Moto3 standings.
Dennis Foggia (Leopard Racing) and his Honda HRC Moto3 bike continued to be in stellar form and he took his second win of the season at Assen, the Cathedral of motorcycling. Foggia fully deserved victory after a very consistent performance in which he led for most of the race. On the last lap, Foggia managed an additional burst of speed and was able to pull away from his pursuers. This means that Dennis Foggia now lies third in the Moto3 standings, 72 points behind the leader. Three other GALFER riders finished in the top ten, with Gabriel Rodrigo (Gresini Racing) coming 8th, Xavi Artigas (Leopard Racing) 9th and Jeremy Alcoba (Gresini Racing) 10th. Alcoba also took pole position on the Saturday for the first time in his career.
In the Moto2 category, both GALFER SAG Team riders scored points, with Thomas Lüthi coming 14th and Bo Bendsneyder 15th.
The next round of the MotoGP World Championship will be held at the Spielberg circuit in Austria on 6-8 August.
