Four Galfer riders managed to finish the demanding Extreme Enduro race within the “Top Ten,” including Jonny Walker, Wade Young, Graham Jarvis, and Alfredo Gómez.
Last weekend, the second round of the FIM Hard Enduro took place in Eisenerz, Austria, where Galfer riders stood out among over 1,500 participants, of whom only 17 riders finished due to technical difficulties and challenging terrain. Among the 17 heroes, we highlight rider Jonny Walker (Beta), who finished in fourth place, very close to the final podium with his Beta equipped with Galfer brake products. After passing through 27 checkpoints without prior reconnaissance, Walker managed to complete one of the toughest Extreme Enduro tests in the world. Behind Walker, another Galfer rider, Wade Young from the Sherco Factory team, finished in 5th place. His teammate, Mario Román, unfortunately had an accident that dropped him to 20th position, with various discomforts in his hand and tailbone, and with no chances of aiming for a good position, he decided not to continue to avoid exacerbating the possible injury. In the overall championship standings, Mario Román is currently in 8th position, while Wade Young is 9th.
It is worth noting that at 48 years old, Graham Jarvis (Husqvarna) finished 6th and became a finalist in this edition of the Erzbergrodeo. Riding his Husqvarna, he managed to overcome all obstacles and checkpoints until reaching the final goal. Alfredo Gómez (Rieju) also made it into the “Top Ten” of finishers, ending in 8th position.
The next event in the Hard Enduro World Championship will be the Romaniacs, which will take place in Romania on July 29th and 30th.
