GLOBAL SUCCESS FOR GALFER AT EICMA 2023

EICMA 2023 was a great success: the 80th edition of the most important international event for motorcyclists and two-wheel enthusiasts attracted over 560,000 participants, consolidating Galfer—the Spanish specialist in high-performance braking systems—for yet another year as the leading brand in the sector, for the general public as well as for professionals.

In line with the trend of constant growth that has been the backdrop for the last five years at Galfer, and thanks to major investments in technology and science and an increasing commitment to the racing sector, the company has now reached a high standard of quality in terms of outstanding performance and design and innovation, making the Galfer range of braking system products undeniably synonymous with top performance in the reference market.

In fact, at Eicma 2023, many motorcycle manufacturers and distributors displayed their motorcycle models equipped with Galfer braking systems, including companies such as KTM, Gas Gas, Husqvarna, Beta, Sherco, Verge, Parts Europe, Malossi, and more.

Following the latest design philosophy of Galfer, the Spanish specialist in braking systems, two important new products were presented at Eicma 2023, clearly reflecting the constant research and development work carried out over the last few years and which has led to significant advances in Galfer technology, in both the Off-Road and Road segments. Today, this technology has been confirmed as a product capable of guaranteeing an unquestionable improvement in the performance of your motorcycle’s braking system.

DISC SHARK® FOR OFF-ROAD MOTORCYCLES

Enduro and Motocross enthusiasts can now enjoy a major competitive advantage, by entrusting their braking to Galfer’s new, revolutionary brake disk, “Disc Shark®”, which addresses the previously unresolved challenge of rear brake overheating in off-road motorcycles.

The “Disc Shark®” introduces optimised heat dissipation, increasing the cooling area with small round holes, internal fins and increased disc thickness. This incredible technical advance that Galfer has applied to the new “Disc Shark®” has resulted in a notable drop in temperature during operation and greater constant stability, which significantly contributes to extending the useful life of the brake pads.

Developed in collaboration with reigning Enduro world champion, Steve Holcombe, and used by him throughout the entire EnduroGP World Championship season, Galfer’s new “Disc Shark®” already boasts a very respectable list of awards on its debut, with three world titles won this year in EnduroGP, E2 and E3, by British riders Steve Holcombe and Brad Freeman.

DISC WAVE® COLOUR DISCS FOR HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLES

Design and innovation are also the main features of the second new product that Galfer presented at the Eicma 2023 exhibition. For fans of the Custom world, the Spanish braking system specialist has launched the new “Disc Wave®” with its centre coloured in six eye-catching finishes—red, blue, gold, orange, gloss black and CNC contrasting black—capable of combining a distinctive design, the latest technology and unprecedented performance.

Galfer is all about performance and style and, from now on, it will no longer be necessary to sacrifice performance for aesthetics, because Galfer is able to offer the best of both worlds. Designed to exceed the expectations of the most demanding bikers, Galfer “Disc Wave®” discs offer precise and efficient braking, which means increased safety and control on the road.
