Victory and podium for Toni Bou and Jaime Busto in the premier class along with a double victory for Emma Bristow in the women’s category.
With extreme temperatures causing great difficulty for the riders, Jaime Busto (Vertigo) surprised us with his first victory in the opening race of this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix, beating the current national champion. After an intense weekend with both riders receiving few penalties, the fight was on until the very last moment, with Toni Bou—who uses Galfer products on his motorbikes—eventually taking the overall victory for the Repsol Honda team.
Adam Raga (TRRS) finished in third position, although a considerable distance behind his competitors; Jorge Casales (Scorpa) followed him in 4th place, with a 2 point advantage over Gabriel Marcelli, Bou’s teammate, who finished in 5th position to end up 7th in the overall standings.
In the women’s category, Emma Bristow took first place for the Sherco team, setting herself apart from her competitors, followed by Berta Abellan (Scorpa) in second position. Both riders use the fixed Disc Wave brakes at the front and the WLLG at the rear, approved by the FIM, together with the Trial Top G1805 brake pads.
The next competition will be held in Andorra on the weekend of 17-19 June.
