The circuit of Calafat held an unprecedented event where the school from Barcelona deployed more than a hundred people including teachers, technicians, students and riders to organize a three hour endurance race with ten identical Honda CBR600RR, prepared and assisted by second year students, the real stars of the event.
All motorcycles rode with the new Sport Racing G1375R brake pads in sintered metal compound. The pads worked flawlessly throughout trainings and race, offering excellent braking performance. In fact, the pads endured the whole race at an average 1’30”-1’34” per lap and rode for more than 300km of intense competition without incidents.
At the event, GALFER presented the prototypes of their floating stainless steel brake discs, which worked great besides being considerably lighter than the original discs. The motorcycles were also fitted with the red GALFER metallic lines.
Student Gerard Gelabert led the winner team with rider Víctor Carrasco.
“This project allowed us to put into practice a global 360º and boost the educational value for our students”, said Jaime Serrano, General Director of the School and race director.
