Galfer Moto celebrates the 2024 racing season with the achievement of 10 world titles, 3 European titles, and 11 national titles. From the high-speed circuits of MotoGP to the extreme challenges of Motocross and Enduro, riders supported by Galfer brake components have shone brightly, confirming the excellence of “Made in Spain” technology.
The year 2024 will be remembered as a legendary year of triumphs for Galfer, thanks to Ai Ogura’s extraordinary victory in Moto2 and Alessandro Lupino’s triumph in the MX1 Italian Prestige Championship with Ducati.
Japanese rider Ai Ogura, from the MT Helmets – MSI team, delivered one of the most significant moments in Galfer’s history in motorcycling by winning the Moto2 World Championship with an exceptional season that included three victories and six podium finishes. This result brings Galfer back to the top of the category, a success the Spanish manufacturer had not achieved since Marc Márquez in 2012. It highlights the reliability and precision of the Floatech® brake discs and Racing G1310 sintered brake pads, specifically developed for high-performance speed racing.
In the FIM Jr. GP, 2024 brought further successes for Galfer. Álvaro Carpe claimed the prestigious Moto3 Junior title, showcasing great maturity and speed while competing against top young talents from around the globe. Meanwhile, Roberto García and Carlos Cano dominated their respective categories, winning the European Moto2 Championship and the European Talent Cup.
Equally significant, in Motocross, Alessandro Lupino made history in 2024 by winning Ducati’s first MX1 Italian Championship title alongside Galfer. This milestone, achieved with Galfer’s braking technology, marks a historic achievement for the Bologna-based manufacturer, establishing itself as a leading force in motocross.
Specifically developed for the Ducati Desmo450 MX, Galfer’s Disc Wave® brake discs stand out for their lightweight and high-performance design, delivering precise and powerful braking capabilities that uphold Ducati’s reputation as one of the world’s most successful motorcycle manufacturers. The synergy between Alessandro Lupino’s talent and Galfer’s innovative braking systems has demonstrated how technical excellence translates into victories, even on the most demanding and challenging tracks.
2024 was also a year of outstanding achievements in other off-road disciplines for the Spanish braking specialist. Galfer secured four world titles in Trial, thanks to Toni Bou (Montesa-Honda), who dominated both X-Trial and TrialGP, adding two more titles to his legendary record. Emma Bristow (Sherco Factory Team) excelled in the women’s category, while Jack Peace (Sherco) triumphed in the Trial2 category, reaffirming the reliability and effectiveness of Disc Wave® discs and Trial Top G1805 semi-metallic brake pads.
Galfer also excelled in the Enduro World Championship, securing three world titles. Brad Freeman (Team Beta Factory) dominated the EnduroGP championship in the E3 category, Mireia Badía (Rieju) claimed the EnduroGP Women’s world title, and Mitch Brightmore (TTR Squadra Corse) triumphed in Hard Enduro Junior.
All these successes were achieved thanks to the superior performance and reliability of Galfer’s Disc Wave® and Disc Shark® discs, along with their sintered brake pads, which ensured maximum braking power and precision even in the most extreme terrains.
In Raids, Indian rider Harith Noah (Sherco) won the Dakar Rally 2, showcasing the durability of Galfer products in exceptionally demanding competitions.
