Spanish rider Rubén Fernández, a rookie in the MXGP class, has achieved the first podium of his racing career in the Latvia GP.
Outstanding performance by Rubén Fernández (#70), Galfer rider with the Honda 114 Motorsport team, at the Kegums circuit (Latvia), where he stepped onto the MXGP podium for the first time thanks to two solid races. Fernández secured third and fourth places, earning him a score of 38 points in the Grand Prix and a place on the third step of the final podium. This means that Rubén Fernández is currently 6th in the MXGP general provisional standings. Also worth noting is the strong performance by Alberto Forato (#303), Italian rider with the SM Action Gas team, who came 6th overall in the Latvia GP.
In the MX2 class, Andrea Adamo (#80) achieved a good 6th place in the first race, but he had problems in the second race and finished the GP in 10th place, 8th overall in the championship. Two more top ten places went to Galfer representatives in the category, with Håkon Fredriksen (#427) seventh and Isak Gifting (#517) eighth. All of them use brake products from the Spanish brand, specifically the oversize slotted Disc Wave® RWS at the front and RW at the rear, together with Racing G1396R sintered compound brake pads.
The next round of the motocross world championship will be the Italian GP at the Maggiora circuit on 7 and 8 May.
