MT HELMETS-MSI AND GALFER CONTINUE THEIR DREAM IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Impressive double success for Galfer riders in Moto2 with victory by Ai Ogura and podium for Sergio García, along with a second place for Iván Ortolá in Moto3. All equipped with Galfer Racing brake products.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya witnessed the absolute dominance of the MT Helmets-MSI team in the Moto2 World Championship. For the first time in history, a team achieved two double successes (first and second place) in two consecutive races. This is in addition to the two pole positions secured on Saturday by Sergio García in Moto2 and Iván Ortolá in Moto3.

In Moto2, Japanese rider Ai Ogura achieved his first victory of the season after a spectacular comeback from tenth position on the grid. Ogura steadily advanced positions without taking unnecessary risks or overworking the tires, eventually catching up to the leader, his teammate Sergio García, a few laps before the race ended. Ai demonstrated a superior pace compared to his teammate and claimed victory in the Catalan GP, with García finishing in second place. Both riders use Galfer’s Floatech® Racing discs in customized configurations, enhancing their performance and enabling these unprecedented successes. In the overall standings, Sergio García remains the undisputed leader with 109 points, 19 points ahead of the second-place rider, while Ai Ogura climbs to third place with 88 points.

In Moto3, Spanish rider Iván Ortolá from the MT Helmets-MSI team had a sensational performance throughout the weekend. Iván, who secured pole position on Saturday, had a solid race, consistently staying in the leading group fighting for the win. Ultimately, only 0.2 seconds separated him from his first victory of the season, leaving him to settle for second place. With this result, Ortolá is now fourth in the overall standings with 70 points. Additionally, another Galfer representative, David Muñoz (Boé Motorsport), delivered a notable performance by finishing in fifth place. Despite being penalized with a “long lap,” Muñoz managed to climb back to this commendable position. Galfer Moto3 riders use Floatech® brake discs along with Racing G1310 pads, providing excellent performance and efficiency.

The next round of the MotoGP World Championship will take place in Italy (Mugello) from May 31 to June 2.
