Ángel Piqueras clinched a breathtaking last-lap victory, securing his first win of the 2025 Moto3 season while relying on Galfer Floatech® brakes and Racing G1310 pads.
The Spanish rider from the Frinsa MT Helmets-MSI team staged a spectacular comeback in the final laps of the Argentine Grand Prix. With a double overtake in the last corners, Piqueras crossed the finish line just 36 thousandths of a second ahead of Adrián Fernández (Leopard Racing), another Galfer rider, securing a 1-2 finish for the Spanish brand.
The Moto3 race was marked by extreme competitiveness and intense group battles, where braking precision and mechanical reliability played a decisive role. Galfer brakes once again proved their excellence in the most demanding conditions.
Beyond the double podium, three other Galfer riders finished in the Top 10:
- Taiyo Furusato (Honda Team Asia) – 5th
- David Almansa (Leopard Racing) – 6th
- Ryusei Yamanaka (Frinsa MT Helmets-MSI) – 9th
With these results, Adrián Fernández climbs to 2nd place in the overall standings, while Ángel Piqueras moves up to 3rd, consolidating a spectacular start to the season.
Ángel Piqueras: “I’m really happy with today’s race. It was very tough, and I want to thank my team for everything they did this weekend. I’m looking forward to Austin, a track I really like, let’s go for more!”
Adrián Fernández: “Second race, second podium! We have had a very good start to the season so far and I’m very happy. We need to keep taking points, because the season is very long, but for the moment we are working in the right direction. What is true, of course, is that we still have to work on some details, like qualifying, to improve our weekends in general. Today I just want to thank my team and my family for their hard work and support. I’m already looking forward to Texas!”
In the intermediate category, Galfer riders faced a tough race. Iván Ortolá (QJ Motor – Frinsa – MSI) finished 19th, while Yuki Kuni (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) crossed the line in 23rd place.
The MotoGP World Championship action continues from March 28 to 31 at the legendary Austin circuit (USA). Galfer Racing is already gearing up for the next battle!
