Edgar Pons didn’t miss the chance to win the Moto2 European Championship title at the first of the two races. And he did it champion style, winning from the pole. He ran to the victory at the first Moto2 race, leading it from start to finish and winning the European championship for the second time in his career. In the second race, another GALFER rider, Héctor Garzó (CNS Motorsport), won his first victory of the year in an eventful race with two starts. Pons fell off two laps from the end when he was fighting to win his second race of the day.
In Moto3 Jeremy Alcoba (Laglisse) led the Junior Moto3 championship race reached his second win of the season. The Laglisse Academy rider had his first chance to settle the championship and will reach the last round of the season in Valencia 46 points ahead Carlos Tatay. Daniel Holgado (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) was runner-up in Albacete, and Carlos Tatay (Fundación Andreas Pérez 77) was third.
And in the European Talent Cup, José Antonio Rueda, Diogo Moreira and Adrián Cruces signed a triple win for the Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 in Albacete. This was Rueda’s first victory at the lower category of the FIM CEV Repsol.
The four winners of the four races held in Albacete had a common denominator: they all used GALFER brake products to stop their competition motorbikes, proving the high quality and performance offered by these braking components.
The next and last round of the FIM CEV Repsol will be held on November 8-10 in Cheste, where the Moto3 champion will be unveiled.
