After the summer break, the Supersport World Championship was held again at the Portuguese circuit of Algarve. Things remain the same in the Supersport 600 category, with the absolute dominance of the Italian team Evan Bros (sponsored by GALFER). Federico Caricasulo obtained the victory in Portugal after a race that finished early due to a red flag (after an incident 5 laps before the end). At that moment Caricasulo was leading the race, followed by his teammate Randy Krummenacher, who obtained the second position. Thus, Caricasulo reduced in 5 points the difference with Krummenacher, and they are now only 10 points apart in the general classification, 3 races before the end of the championship. Both riders from the team Evan Bros use GALFER Disc Wave® Racing brake discs: DF475CW1 at the front and DF496W at the back.
In the Supersport 300 category, the rider Marc García (DS Junior Team) and his Kawasaki Ninja 400 couldn’t reach the podium; he obtained the 4th position, only 0.047 seconds away from the third rider.
In the premier class, WSBK, it wasn’t the best of weekends for the only GALFER representative (the British rider Eugene Lavery from the Team GoEleven). He obtained the 14th and 15th positions in the races held at Portimao.
The next date of the WSBK will be held at the circuit of Magny-Cours (France) from September 27th to 29th.
