ANOTHER VICTORY FOR DENNIS FOGGIA CLOSES THE GAP IN THE MOTO3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE

The Italian Leopard Racing rider took his fourth win of the season, his second in a row, and now lies second in the Moto3 standings, 42 points behind the leader.

Dennis Foggia (Leopard Racing) is currently the rider in form in the Moto3 World Championship. The rider from Rome performed excellently again in practice, qualifying and the race to take his second consecutive win and eighth podium of the season at the San Marino GP. For much of the race Foggia was second behind Romano Fenati until a crash put Fenati out and handed victory to Dennis. Foggia has now closed the gap to the overall leader to 42 points with 100 points still to play for. Two other GALFER riders finished in the top ten in the Moto3 class: Stefano Nepa (Boé Owlride) finished 8th and Carlos Tatay (Esponsorama) 9th.

In the Moto2 class, Thomas Lüthi, the Swiss rider for the Stop & Go team, rode a very consistent race to finish 11th. Team-mate Bo Bendsneyder didn’t have his best outing, finishing 25th.

In MotoGP, Enea Bastianini (Esponsorama) took his first podium of his rookie year in the top class. GALFER sponsors the Esponsorama Avintia team.

The next round of the World Championship will be held at the Circuit of the Americas (USA) from 1 to 3 October.
