The young Spanish rider from the Estrella Galicia 0,0 team has achieved a spectacular victory at the penultimate event in Motorland Aragón and has been crowned the Junior GP Moto3 World Champion.
Ángel Piqueras (Estrella Galicia 0,0) is having an exceptional season in the junior Moto3 world championship. In fact, with just one race left to go, he has already secured the title of Moto3 Junior World Champion for 2023.
The thrilling race at Motorland Aragón was marked by intense competition among the leading group, with up to ten riders battling for victory. Piqueras, however, showcased his strategic prowess by positioning himself effectively and, thanks to his Honda Moto3 equipped with Galfer brake components, he secured victory by a mere tenth of a second. With this latest triumph, Piqueras has won four out of the ten races held during the 2023 season and has also achieved four additional podium finishes, accumulating a total of 191 points in the standings. This represents a commanding 79-point lead over the second-placed rider. Therefore, even with two races remaining in Valencia, Ángel Piqueras has already mathematically clinched the world championship.
