ALBERTO FORATO SHINES AT MXGP OF ITALY

Italian rider for SM Action KTM stood out at the top throughout the weekend and was greatly cheered by the spectators at the Maggiora Park circuit.

The Italian MXGP Grand Prix kicked off at Maggiora last weekend, and the young SM Action KTM rider made a statement from the start by winning the qualifying race. With this spectacular start, we moved on to the first race where Alberto positioned himself in fourth place during the initial laps. Before reaching the midway point of the race, he managed to secure a podium position. He defended this position until the end, finishing 3rd just 0.02.884 seconds behind his nearest rival and more than 23 seconds ahead of his predecessor. This was due to effective braking, allowing him to handle all situations well. The setup chosen for this circuit included the Disc Wave® DF606RW as the front brake and DF607RW at the rear, accompanied by the sintered Racing brake pads G1396R, achieving the perfect symbiosis. In the second race, he continued to stay in the lead group, more than 20 seconds ahead of the second group, but couldn’t reach the podium and finished in 5th place. This placed him on the verge of the podium in the overall Grand Prix standings. Our rider concluded the weekend in Italian lands to the applause of the audience for the outstanding results and performance.

The MRT Racing Team Beta riders achieved consecutive positions, just like in Turkey, but this time in 13th and 14th place. Lupino finished the races in 15th place and 10th in the second race. His teammate, Watson, secured 13th and 16th positions.

The next and final event will take place in Great Britain on September 24th at the Matterley Basin circuit.
