Three GALFER Bike riders took victory at the seventh round of the Enduro World Series 2021: Melanie Pugin in the Pro Women’s category, Laura Charles in EWS-E and Karim Amour in the Men’s Masters.
The Swiss town of Crans-Montana hosted some intense days of Enduro bike racing with all disciplines present and the GALFER Bike representatives played a very prominent role.
In the Pro Women’s category, French rider Melanie Pugin (BH Racing Enduro Team) took another victory, her third of the season, and remains the provisional leader of the series with a 585-point lead with two rounds to go.
In the Pro Men’s category, the Polish rider Sławek Łukasik (NS Bikes) finished in 4th place, 7th overall.
In the new electric bike category (EWS-E), Laura Charles (Orbea Fox Enduro Team) achieved the first victory of her sporting career riding her Orbea Wild FS equipped with GALFER Bike brake products. In the men’s category, Portugal’s Tiago Ladeira (Miranda Factory Team) finished fourth, while Italy’s Marco Melandri (Husqvarna) took the third spot on the podium in the EWS-E Masters category.
Finally, veteran Karim Amour (BH Racing Enduro Team) claimed a convincing victory in Crans-Montana with a lead of more than a minute and a half, and he now stands just one step away from another world title.
The next round of the Enduro World Series will be held in Finale Ligure (Italy) from 18 to 19 September.
