The KMC-Orbea team, sponsored by GALFER, emerged as best team in the Mediterranean Epic Race 2020 thanks to Milan Vader and Victor Koretzky both securing podium spots, finishing second and third respectively.
It was a great start to the season for the French team KMC-Orbea, who were named Best Team of the Mediterranean Epic Race 2020. The four team members put in a great performance in the Cross-Country Marathon, which is not their usual speciality, winning two podiums in the Male Elite category and achieving a top-ten finish in the Female Elite category.
Dutch rider Milan Vader steadily gained ground over the four stages of the race to claim a second-place finish, just 1’30” behind the winner (David Valero), after more than 10 hours of timed competition.
His team-mate, Frenchman Victor Koretzky, won third place on the podium after holding his own in the lead group throughout the race.
Danish rider Malene Degn finished in seventh position in the Female Elite category, while Swiss rider Thomas Litscher had several mishaps which prevented him from being among the lead riders, eventually finishing in 35th position.
