Melanie Pugin is the new 2021 WES (World E-Bike Series) Women’s World Champion, her second world title of the season.
The French rider from the BH Enduro Team won the WES title, a discipline for e-bikes that is becoming ever more popular, thanks to her consistency over the whole season. Melanie Pugin won two of the nine races and finished on the podium four times, to finish first in the final standings with a 47-point lead.
The final event of the season held in Castelldefels (Spain) was won by another GALFER Bike rider, Laura Charles (Orbea Fox Enduro Team). Melanie Pugin finished third, which was enough to win her the championship.
The BH Enduro bike used by Pugin was equipped with 203×2 mm Disc Wave® brakes as well as special lilac-coloured G1652 E-bike brake pads.
This latest title means that GALFER Bike riders have now won 6 world championships in the 2021 season.
