The young Austrian talent Katharina Sadnik (KTM Factory) has been crowned U23 Cross-Country Short Track (XCC) World Champion at the iconic Mont-Sainte-Anne (Canada) circuit, trusting her braking to Galfer components, true protagonists of this new world success.
Control, precision, and confidence to the finish line
Sadnik arrived in Canada as the overall leader, knowing that a strong result could secure her the title. In a short, explosive, and highly demanding race—where every turn and every meter count—brake management was key.
Despite a nervous start, Sadnik remained calm and in control, crossing the finish line in third place, a result that earned her the world title. Her KTM, equipped with Galfer W discs (only 99 grams in ø160mm) and Performance G1053 pads, delivered flawless performance on the most technical and slippery sections of the Canadian track.
Thus, Galfer and Sadnik are crowned 2025 World Champions, proving once again that the difference between winning and losing can be measured in millimeters… or in a perfect braking point.
Podium finish also in the men’s category
Young Swedish rider Nils Johansson (Decathlon Misser Project) achieved the first podium of his career, taking a commendable third place in the men’s race, consolidating Galfer’s presence among the world’s XCC elite.
More standout results for Galfer
Galfer-equipped riders also shone in other weekend disciplines:
– Lisa Bouladou (Goodman Santacruz) – 6th in DH Elite Women
– Maximilian Foidl (KTM Factory) – 10th in XCO Elite Men
– Luke Wayman (Continental Atherton) – 11th in DH Elite Men
Galfer: the braking power of champions
At Mont-Sainte-Anne, one of the most technical and demanding circuits on the calendar, the power, modulation, and reliability of Galfer brakes were decisive.
Downhill (DH) riders relied on Disc Shark® rotors, paired with Pro G1554T pads, ideal for dry and high-temperature conditions.
Each victory, each podium, and every controlled descent to the limit reinforces one truth:
In top-level competition, Galfer braking makes the difference.
