Hans Becking and José Dias (BUFF® Scott) finished second in the Andalucía Bike Race 2021 after six intense days of pure cross-country marathon.
The Galfer Bike riders put in an excellent performance in the ABR 2021 and came away with a stage win, a final podium and several top-ten positions. Under extreme heat conditions, the BUFF® Scott pair formed by the Dutchman Hans Becking and Portuguese rider José Dias managed to secure three stage podiums and finished in second place overall in the Men’s Elite category, just 31 seconds behind the winners. Their team-mates José María Sánchez and Enrique Morcillo clinched a stage win and finished sixth overall. The BeeHi Lee Cougan team finished fourth, with Víctor Manuel Fernández and Iván Diaz.
In the Women’s Elite category, the pair formed by Alice Pirard and Greete Steinburg (MTB Pro Merchandising) finished in sixth place overall.
All riders competed with different brands of double bikes, but all were equipped with Galfer Bike brake components: Disc Wave® DB102W brake discs and Red Advanced G1851 brake pads.
