GALFER JOINS FORCES WITH THE LOTTO CYCLING TEAM

Galfer, the renowned brake component manufacturer, is proud to announce its partnership as the official sponsor and exclusive brake component supplier for the Lotto Cycling Team, a professional road cycling team, for the 2025 season. Through its close collaboration with Orbea, a leading bicycle manufacturer, the team will compete in major international competitions, including the Tour de France and La Vuelta España.

This agreement marks a significant milestone for the Spanish brand Galfer in the road cycling segment. Following its remarkable involvement in La Vuelta España 2023 with the Caja Rural-Seguros RGA team, Galfer is now equipping all bikes of the Lotto Cycling Team, which will compete in some of the most prestigious events on the global calendar. The components provided include the renowned Disc Wave® Road brake discs in ø140mm (76g, center-lock model) and Pro G1554T brake pads, specifically designed for competition. These pads stand out for their immediate performance without requiring a break-in period. Together, these products offer ultra-lightweight design, superior performance and control, and reliability that make them the ideal choice for high-level competition. Additionally, the team will serve as one of the most demanding testing platforms for Galfer’s new center-lock disc prototypes currently in development.

The collaboration with Orbea has been a strategic element in cementing this alliance, reinforcing their shared goal of delivering innovation and performance at the highest levels of professional cycling. The team’s flagship models, the Orca Aero and the Orca, are equipped with Galfer brake discs as their technological core, ensuring unparalleled braking power and control. This synergy results in a highly efficient system, with Galfer components playing a crucial role in delivering superior performance and reliability in every competition.

The Lotto Cycling Team boasts an extensive sports structure comprising three teams. Its professional team, with 25 riders, includes notable figures such as Belgian national champion Arnaud De Lie, Lennert Van Eetvelt, Jasper De Buyst, and the experienced Eduardo Sepúlveda, who will compete in the world’s most prestigious road cycling events, including the Tour de France, La Vuelta España, and the Spring Classics. Additionally, both the Lotto Ladies Team and the Lotto Development Team will also use Galfer braking systems on their Orbea bikes, ensuring exceptional performance across all categories.
