Galfer strengthens its leadership in MTB Gravity by equipping the new Orbea Rallon DH, one of the most ambitious bikes ever developed by the Spanish brand, with its advanced Shark brake discs as original equipment.
This partnership positions Galfer as a key component in the performance of a bike designed to dominate both downhill (DH) and the most demanding enduro terrain, delivering its renowned thermal efficiency, consistency, and braking power in all conditions.
The collaboration between Galfer and Orbea has grown over the years across various MTB and road bike ranges and now extends to the DH segment with the new Rallon. It’s a partnership built on mutual trust and a shared commitment to high-performance components, developed to meet the real-world demands of the most technical riders.

Galfer Technology at the Service of Downhill
In disciplines where every corner, every second, and every meter downhill matters, the braking system makes a difference. That’s why Orbea has chosen Galfer as its OEM supplier, equipping its most advanced fixed Disc Shark® rotors ø203mm across the entire Rallon range, in both DH and Enduro versions.
The Shark discs stand out for their thermal dissipation and stability, thanks to inner fins and strategically placed holes on the braking surface. The outer Wave design and the cross windows on the braking track deliver powerful and even bite across the entire contact surface with the brake pad. This design extends pad life by 25–40%.
Galfer’s Shark discs have been developed and validated in competitive environments by professional riders, ensuring consistent performance even under extreme conditions. This race-proven experience is now available to end users through the stock setup of the new Rallon DH.

Elite-Level Components for Racing Performance: Galfer Makes the Difference
Galfer enhances the performance of the new Orbea Rallon DH with its Shark brake discs, delivering precision, reliability, and safety on the most challenging descents. This addition raises the overall spec of the model, which includes 200 mm of front and rear travel, a low center of gravity, DH-specific geometry with a “mullet” option, and the GravityLink system that adapts to terrain and rider style.
