Milan Vader, Victor Koretzky and Thomas Litscher climbed the podium in both rounds of the UCI XCO World Cup held at the Nove Mesto (Czech Rep.) circuit, while KMC-Orbea established itself as the best team.
Great racing by team KMC-Orbea and its male riders at the World Cup double-header.
In the men’s Elite category, the Dutch rider Milan Vader achieved two podium finishes: 3rd in the first XCO race and 2nd in the second XCO race. Vader was always challenging for the leading positions in both races and had chances to make this his first victory, especially in the second race where he was just 1 second away from winning.
His French teammate, Victor Koretzky, also achieved two podium finishes at Nove Mesto: 2nd in the first XCC race and 4th in the second XCO race. Victor also came close to winning in the first XCC race, where he only missed out in the final sprint.
Swiss rider Thomas Litscher also had an excellent tournament, including a 2nd place finish in the second XCC race.
As a result of these successes, KMC-Orbea became the leading team in the XCO World Cup at Nove Mesto for two reasons: the riders demonstrated their strong competitive standard and their great team spirit. All the riders use GALFER “Disc Wave®” DB002W brake discs and red compound Advanced G1851 brake pads.
This double-header brings the XCO 2020 World Cup to an end, as the calendar has been cut short due to Covid-19. Next up is the most important date of the year, the XCO and DH World Championships in Leogang (Austria), where, between 9th and 11th October, the winners in both disciplines of the world champions will be decided, as well as who will be wearing the rainbow jerseys next year.
