MARIO ROMÁN WON WESS’ EXTREME XL AT LAGARES

It was the first WESS 2019 round and finished with the first victory for a GALFER representative. Mario’s great resolution during the most difficult parts was key to win after two intense days riding in the mountains of Lagares (Portugal) among more than 300 participants, 50 of them of Pro level. Román wins at last at Lagares for the first time after several attempts.

South-African rider Wade Young, Román team mate at Sherco, finished second, keeping the French brand in the first positions at the start of the Extreme Enduro World Series. Travis Teasdale (Beta) entered the Top Ten in 9th place.

Mario Román leads the general WESS classification with 1,000 points, followed Wade Young, with 850.

The next WESS event 2019 will be the legendary Trèfle Lozérien of France, held on May, 17-19, 2019.
