GALFER AND MONLAU REPSOL SCHOOL RENEW THEIR AGREEMENT UNTIL 2019

Industrias Galfer and Monlau Repsol Technical School renew their technical and sponsor agreement until the end of 2019. They have been partnering for more than 20 years: Galfer contributes to the students training and provides material for the competition teams of the Barcelona school, while Monlau Repsol helps develop and improve Galfer’s braking products using them in their competition motorcycles both in national and international championships.

Galfer and Monlau started collaborating in 1997 when Emilio Alzamora entered the 250cc World Championship. It was the school’s first project and they trusted the Spanish brand’s products. During these 2 decades Galfer and Monlau have win many important titles as the Márquez brothers Moto3 and Moto2 titles in 2012 and 2014.

Educationally, the school provides their students with the latest Galfer products and they learn technical knowledge while visiting the Galfer facilities at Granollers. These visits consist in a theory lesson followed by a visit to the facilities, where they can see all manufacturing processes or how the test benches work, among many other things. Besides, Monlau Repsol offers a Motorsports Engineering Master where Galfer provides their experience.

Also, thanks to this technical agreement, the RDI department at GALFER uses the Monlau Repsol competitions motorcycles to test and develop Galfer Disc Wave® and competition brake pads.

In these two decades Galfer and Monlau have grown together and have become known at the international scene.
