BIG WIN BY ANDREA MIGNO TO KICK OFF THE MOTO3 SEASON

The new Galfer rider with the Snipers team took the first victory of the Moto3 season at the Qatar GP, with Dennis Foggia making a great comeback after starting from the back of the grid.

A great season start for Galfer representatives in the Moto3 class of the World Championship. Young Italian rider Andrea Migno (Snipers Team) managed to take first spot after a solid weekend and a splendid race. Migno, who started from the front row of the grid, battled with the leading group throughout the entire race until, with just a few laps to go, he took the lead. On the last lap his pursuers tried to overtake him on several occasions, but thanks to his aggressive riding and hard braking he managed to hold on to first place. Andrea Migno used Floatech® DF121JCW1X35D/I directional front brake discs, CUBIQ® DF108Q rear discs and Galfer brake pads on his Honda HRC NSF 250 RW.

On the other hand, Dennis Foggia (Leopard Racing) made a spectacular comeback after being penalised in Saturday’s qualifying, which relegated him to last position on the grid and two long lap penalties during the race. Despite all the setbacks, Foggia rode at a great pace, setting several fastest laps of the race, and managed to move up more than 20 positions to finish in a more than creditable 7th place.

Other notable mentions include the great season start for the new MT Helmets-MSI team riders, who achieved two top ten spots, with the Brazilian Diogo Moreira in 6th place and the Japanese Ryusei Yamanaka in 9th position.

Finally, Xavi Artigas (Prüstel GP) had an auspicious start to the 2022 championship, ending the race in 10th position.

In the Moto2 class, the two Galfer representatives of the Stop & Go team had a lacklustre start to the season. Dutchman Bo Bendsneyder finished 19th, while team-mate Gabriel Rodrigo came 21st. Both riders failed to find their rhythm in the first round of the season.

The next round of the MotoGP World Championship will be held at the Pertamina Mandalika circuit in Indonesia from 18-20 March.
