One of the first acts to kickstart the Galfer 70th Anniversaire activities is an interview to the living Trial legend Toni Bou (Montesa-Honda). This is the first part of a video production divided in twelve episodes, in each of them one of our riders will share his own personal experiences with the Galfer brand, unveiling anecdotes related to his colaboration and how, along the time, the braking performance has been improving on his bike and helping him to reach his motorsport achievements.
1.- Describe you early days of competition:
My early days of competition were in cycling when I started competing in the Bike Trial competition organised by Ot Pi and Pere Pi. As a child on a bike I became passionate about racing and when I really started to compete in Spanish competitions and world championships.
2.- Describe your training plan for each season:
My training plan is very similar from one year to the next. If I don’t have any injuries, there is an important pre-season phase where a significant amount of the physical work is done. Then, we normally start with indoor training, as it is early in the year, and then move on to working with the bike to try and keep improving in order to be competitive.
3.- Can you tell us how your collaboration with Galfer began?
My collaboration with Galfer goes back many years. It is a brand that gives us a lot of confidence and with which we have managed to win many titles. It is a winning combination. Ever since the early days of collaboration, we have enjoyed success and I hope this continues for a long time to come.
4.- What is it about Galfer products for your motorbike/bike that you value or that stands out?
As I said, on the bike, Galfer products are problem-free. Reliability is the most important thing for us. What’s more, their products provide great precision, which always helps us to improve and be more competitive.
5.- What are the first three words that come to mind when you think about Galfer?
Accuracy and braking, I think are the first things that come to mind, and also reliability.
7.- This year, 2022, is the 70th anniversary of Galfer, do you have a message for them?
I hope that Galfer and the whole Galfer family enjoy this significant anniversary and that we can celebrate many more titles together.
