The Australian Polygon UR team rider was only 1.6 seconds away from victory at the DH Women world cup held at Fort William (Scotland).

Last weekend was a tough one for the DH world cup participants. It started raining on Thursday and the track was muddy, slippery and dangerous. These were the hard conditions that participants had to endure on qualifying rounds and finals, where Tracey Hannah (Polygon UR) offered a great performance.

On Saturday qualifying Tracey scored the best time and valuable UCI points. On Sunday Hannah did great and cut her time almost 2 seconds, but it wasn’t enough to win. Another Galfer Bike representative, Salvadorian rider Mariana Salazar (Dorval AM) entered the Top Ten in 8th place. Tracey Hannah gets the second place at the general World Cup classification.

Galfer Bike Elite Men riders didn’t have their best weekend. The best was Rafa Gutiérrez (IJ Racing) who finished 28th. Baptiste Pierron (Dorval AM) was 32nd; Alex Fayolle (Polygon UR) was 40th; and Mick Hannah (Polygon UR) was 42nd.

In Junior class, French rider Simon Chapelet (Polygon UR) entered his first Top Ten in 9th place in his second World Cup.

The next round of the DH World Cup will be held at Leogang (Austria) on June, 7-9.
